Step 1: Remove your makeupIf you have any makeup on from the day, remove it with micellar water (we love a Micellar Water). It is great for a pre-workout skincare routine because you don’t need to wash it off. You can head straight to your hot yoga class! All you need to do is soak a cotton round with the micellar water and wipe it across your face to get rid of foundation, concealer, etc. Eye makeup will need a little extra attention – soak the cotton round with a bit more product and leave it on your eyes for a couple of seconds before gently wiping.
Voilà, you are makeup free for your gym sesh!
Step 2: Spritz, spritz, spritz!The second step involves a refreshing facial mist for a quick toning. It also works well as a pick-me-up for your skin. Just spritz all over your face and you’re done!
Step 3: Moisturizer
This step is suuuper important. No matter what you are doing, you must make sure your skin is moisturized and hydrated. However, it is crucial for your skin to be able to get rid of toxins through sweat so be careful not to use a heavy or thick moisturizer because it will not allow your pores to breathe while you are exercising. Instead, opt for a lightweight, gel moisturizer. Water-based moisturizers will absorb quickly and will give you the hydrating benefits without suffocating your skin.
Bonus step: SPF
If you’re an outdoorsy person, you’ll want to make sure you don’t get burnt or let your skin get sun damaged. The next step in your routine will be SPF. You can throw in an SPF lip balm in the mix as well! The SPF will protect your skin from the harmful and damaging UVA/UVB rays from the sun, so while you’re working up a sweat, your skin is safe.
